Versions

Upload new versions, switch between iterations, and restore previous versions — all feedback stays connected.

Versions

Documents evolve. When you make changes and want fresh feedback, upload a new version rather than creating a separate document. This keeps all feedback in one place and lets you track how the work has progressed.

Uploading a new version

From the review page, click the Upload new version button in the toolbar. Select your updated file — it replaces the current view and becomes the active version. The previous version is preserved, not overwritten.

Each version is numbered sequentially (v1, v2, v3, etc.) and timestamped so you know exactly when each iteration was uploaded.

Switching between versions

Use the version dropdown in the toolbar to switch between any uploaded version. The document view updates immediately, and the sidebar shows annotations relevant to that version.

This is useful for comparing how the work has changed, checking whether feedback from an earlier version was addressed, or reviewing a specific iteration that a reviewer referenced.

Annotations across versions

Annotations belong to the version they were created on. When you're viewing an older version, you'll see the annotations that were left on that specific version.

You can also filter the sidebar to show annotations from all versions at once. When viewing annotations from other versions, they're labelled with "from v1" (or whichever version they belong to) so you know the context.

Restoring a previous version

If you need to go back, you can restore any previous version. This doesn't delete anything — it creates a new version (e.g., v4) with the content from the version you selected. All annotations on all versions are preserved.

Version limits

On the Free plan, you can upload up to 3 versions per document. Pro and Team plans have unlimited versions per document.
